Anyone use / reload Magtech brass shotshells?

I use Magtech /CBC shotshell brass to reform to rifle cases .......the shotgun cases are very thin wall (brass) and conventional components often dont work well......the other issue is crimp .......if you crimp the brass ,its not going to last very long .........Alcan solved this years ago with their zinc cases ,by using two crossed matchsticks to keep the shot in ........possbly a glue would work too.

Card over shot wad and hot glue. Used them for my SS .410.

Use the 410s for 2.5" and 9.3x74R for 3". Get so sodium silicate (water glass) from Amazon to affix your overshot card and done.

I use the 16 gauge shells in my damascus Belgium double. Circle fly supplies the wads.

Never used Magtec shells, I just used original Winchester and Remington brass shell. Used large rifle primers, 11 ga wads, Alcan over powder and filler wads. Then used cereal box overshot wads that I cut with a bell punch. Used smokeless and Black powder in them.

I do the same type of thing with my 20ga and my 12ga magtech brass.
I use 16ga wad fir the 20ga brass. Basically, I put powder (Unique or Bullseye) followed by the 16ga 7/8 or 1 oz wad and then put the over shot card and finish it with hot glue. I get 1230 fps with the Bullseye load 1oz, and about 1150fps with the unique load, based on my C1 chrono.
It is kind of hard to find load data for these reloads. I am going to start developing my own data. The loads I mentioned above do a nice pattern at 25 yards with the modified choke of my H&R shotgun.

I have been experimenting with 9.3x74R fire formed brass 410 loads using H110 and IMR 4227. I use a .430 nitro card, 410 stretch wad with 4-00 hard cast PC, and a hollow based 110gr cast Powder coated seated and crimped on top. 3/4 ounce load data.

I did some smoke less loads I 12 gauge MAGTEC brass with glued in base wads. They work good with a 10 gauge Decimax 11 gauge wad.

If using a regular plastic wad, you need a nitro card one gauge larger to seal the inside of the brass.

I use MagTech brass in .410, 16, and 20 gauge. The .410 for a Contender, 16 and 20 gauge for Black Powder, Circle Fly wads and Elmers Glue, But I do want to try Water Glass. Good Luck, Chris
