I use Mechanix but moreso to keep my hands clean and not hurt my fingers, but for recoil they may help a bit. Bicycle gloves sound great for more powerful stuff. The best would probably be Mechanix or some other leather glove with a substantial palm pad sewn on as to have both durability and comfort.
For heavier recoiling "pistols" I'll ball up a sweatshirt between the brace and my shoulder but that's only really doable from a bench or prone. Not very elegant, I may have to look into something like a modified jacket as I'm against SBRing my guns

I just bought a pair of weightlifter gloves at Walmart. Slightly padded palm, fingers cut out.. any lefty’s out there that want the one I won’t use?

I second the PACT shoulder pad, although I didn’t know they were discontinued. I did look at Caldwell pads and they seem very similar to my PACT fwiw.

I am also considering “sap gloves”, with the powdered lead in the knuckles to see how they tame recoil…..not sure if they have the dexterity needed for shooting!
