While it is not as big and strong as a RCE WH or Corbins H press, the Corbins S press is still plenty strong for most common swaging tasks (especially if you put the extra long handle on it sold buy Corbins as an accessory) and you can order in stock dies for them. You can also use Corbins M dies, Blackmons dies with some minor mods, and all the CH, Herters, BT Sniper, and Corbins dies made for reloading presses on this press. This Corbin S press is much superior to an RCBS or Lee press for swaging. That is a LOT OF VERSATILITY for a single press. That is probably the best price going to get into swaging now. The opening prices on these presses on Fleabay are a little high. I would not pay more than the opening price. The buy now price on the one is as high as knew price. For the same money I would just buy new.

If you are a patient person, waiting for a good used WH is still the way to go. There was one on Fleabay not long ago. Then, if you buy the WH to S die adapter from Corbins, you can use all the dies listed above if you find them here or on Fleabay, plus you can us RCE dies as well, if you find them. These dies all crop up on Fleabay with some regularity, and less regulary in the S&S section here.

BTW, If anyone wants that WH to S dies adapter from Corbins, you might should get it sooner than later. With RCE out of business now, Corbins might not keep those in there inventory much longer.

Or they could have discontinued them over a year ago, and just haven't gotten around to removing them from the web site. That would not surprise me either. They seem to really be running on a shoe string with the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing half the time.

I am in need of a core swage die for .22 cal. I emailed Larry Blackmon and he mentioned he could do .214 I asked for pricing and haven't heard back yet. I have Corbin S Press, a Blackmon press and a C&H Swagomatic. If any has one on knows where I could get one it would be great.

Best bet would be wait on Blackmon. These can be ordered from Corbins.com, but more $$$.

I made a core swage die and punch on my cheapy HF mini lathe for a Corbin M press (same as Blackmon). Just used some mild steel stock, turned it to size, drilled and reamed with a reamer from Fleabay. Then made the threads with a die. No heat treatment and pretty rookie made but it works, even mild steel is far stronger than lead. Drilled a couple squirt holes and the accuracy comes from the die adjustment/repeatability. I like using it better than my 224 R type dies for core swaging.
I also have a very old die that I think may be a core seater die for a swage o matic. Not sure though. All it is is a solid die with a small recess about 1/4" or so deep that the jacket sets in. I suppose it would work if care was taken to not over expand the jacket. Might be food for thought for anyone needing a core seating die. Should be pretty easy to make something like that.

Good work on making and using your own dies. Be careful or others around here will be hitting you up to make stuff.

The CH Swag-O-Matic was a one step, one die operation. It was mainly used to make lead bullets or half-jacket bullets. The Swag-O-Matic and the Herters 9 Ton and Super Bullet Maker are probably the easiest presses to make your own dies for. The internal recess was for an internal ejection punch. They bled off excess lead throught a hole in the nose punch. The CH die sat inside the ram of the press, so there was no place for the lead to go if it squirted out the side. Your core swage die is much better arrangement.

I may have a newer or older model of the Swag-0-Matic. Mine does bleed off through the die but the Ram has a bleed hole also and the two have to be lined up. The lead excess comes out the side of the Ram and falls on the floor, or in my case a tray.
When you push the handle back down, it cuts the squirt off and ejects the finished bullet. I don't have any build up of lead in the Ram, if I remember to line up the holes.
