A co worker is assembling this kit (CVA? Maybe?) for another co worker who got it as part of her late father's collection. The ammo and propellant research is on me.
This kit is clearly a pre-internet thing and I'm not finding the hard data I need.
Dixie has the new Pedersoli guns and kits which recommend a .440" ball and .010" patch to run in their .450" bore / .464" groove diameters, and to propel it with a 20 grain charge of 3FG. I'm only assuming the older Spanish guns to be the same.
Does anybody know this for sure? Worst case, I can pin gauge the sucker after assembly is done, but would prefer to have all the "possibles" collected before then.
