Weihrauch Model 95

My Grandson recently sent me a brand new .177 Model 95 and a scope and rings by Weihrauch also. My brother ( who knows more about air rifles than I do) helped me get the scope on it and we shot it Monday for the first time. The first 4 shots went into one hole that was almost the diameter of the pellet, being only slightly larger. To say that I was impressed would be the understatement of the decade. Has anyone shot owned and or shot one of these Models and had the same experience? james

James, I have a 95 and my wife has an HW30, both in .22 caliber. Our experience is much the same as yours, one hole groups if we do our part! These rifles are extremely well made and hold up for years, your great grandchildren will be shooting them with no more than an occasional cleaning and drop of oil. Congrats, sounds like you've got a new hobby!

It pays to buy quality airguns. Most don't realize they're extremely accurate. It's nothing to pound on the 10-ring of a standard 10-meter rifle target. That dot is the 10-ring.

Buy a mountain of pellets, some good oil for it and you'll be lighting matches until you get board.

I don't have much to add, my HW95 is wonderful. I am permanently disabled and it is very enjoyable to go to my range with the rifle, some targets and the tin of pellets in .177. So much easier than my range bag and lead based ammo for my rifles/handguns.

I have not been able to go to the rifle range for some years now as first my mother-in-law and then my wife had bad health problems. My wife recently died and now I am too old and shaky myself to really be able to pack a of gear to a range. So, I am now shooting in the back yard of my house and once in a bit at my brothers, who also shoots air rifles. I should have discovered air rifles many years ago. I could have saved a bundle of money. james
