H&G plain base 130 question

I bought the above in four cavity from a forum member here after checking with a reprint of their catalog. The weight should have been 185 and I think I saw that the advertised weights were in linotype. I am using pre-alloyed 95-5-5, which I believe is accurately mixed because the resultant hardness comes out exactly where it should for this composition, and I am getting 199-200 grains. From some charts found in my various casting literature, the difference in weight when your up around this weight should not be anywhere near 15 grains. Is there a chance I have an uncatalogged 200 grain version of the 130? Did they run heavy? Any thoughts? Thanks,

My H&G 130 BB runs right around 200 gr. Comparing the bullet to a friends H&G 130 BB (which runs around 185) there is a very slight dimensional difference. I don't know if they made heavy #130s on purpose or just a tolerance thing. With the quality of the H&G molds I think it was ordered heavy.

I have six #130 H&G moulds and they all cast different weights and diameters.

You could order the mould and specify the alloy used.

With a used mould, it is a roll of the dice.

I have a SAECO copy of the #130; wheelweight alloy bullets are about 185 grs. Very accurate bullet but the SAECO #069 (#68 copy) is just a hair more accurate. On the other hand, the original #68 H&G I used to have threw 185 -190 grain bullets, never 200 with ww alloy.

My four cavity plain base drops them close to 205 grain with nearly pure lead.

I recently acquired two Saeco #130 4 cavity molds. The original box's each had different weights written on the end. 185gr and 195gr. My buddy and I split them. I got the 195gr. I cast some from WW a couple weeks ago and they weigh 201gr sized and lubed. Not sure what the 185gr will do, but I'm guessing a similar outcome......190gr ready to dance. BTW, the mold casts wonderfully.....should be a fun boolit. They seem to feed well from my Springfield RO and a SIG P220.....and I understand that isn't always the case with this stubby SWC.

My 130 does 200 also. I like it. I have found some 1911's won't feed 130's correctly but magazines do help. I'm still trying to beat this 10 shot bench group from years ago.

I have that mold. Advertised at 185, but drops at 200. I milled a few thousandths off the block, to get it down to 185.

If you have a round mold-and mill it-It can't be round anymore. I know it will shoot but looks like the best accuracy would be gone. It would be .449 on one side and .453 on the other. When you lube and size to .452 the die would leak unless you powder coated or alox.

I did mill the sprue plate side. This does not alter roundness.
