Hi, I saw Rock Island had some 22TCM 9R conversion kits on sale, so I bought one.
Is anyone loading for the 9R version? Looks like it needs a tiny short bullet. Has to fit in a 9mm length magazine I guess.
I found a couple of boxes of loaded ammo, but I'm guessing the brass might be hard to find after shooting.
I thought maybe I could use some 9mm Win mag, but the base is too big and won't fit in the die
I chopped some 223 brass and annealed it. The cases formed easily enough, but the neck walls are too thick.
I tried some chucking reamers, a .338" looks like it will do nicely. I'll probably set it up in the drill press to keep the depth consistant and internal capacity close to the same.
I didn't clean the brass up after using the torch, so it's a little ugly, and I may have used too much lube.
What I really need is a bullet to shoot in it.
Anyone have a good suggestion for a mold that will fit in a 9mm magazine?
