Odd Ideal 4 CAV mold; Any clue what the middle cavities are for?

Found this one surfing fleabay. Does anyone know what the cylinder shaped cavities are for?

I recently purchased a bunch of stuff at a local auction and there was a coffee can with a bunch of these "cylinders" in it. They are already melted down and reclaimed for my purposes. Hope they weren't important! LOL.

    Maybe cores for swaged bullets.
What is the diameter and length?

Something to do with chamber-seating BPCR target bullets maybe?
    WWJMBD?

Looks like somebody stuck a drill in there, not quite all the way through. Doesn't look like two of the same length. I'd guess cores for swaging, but who knows. They're 'custom' though, have to price that mold accordingly!

I was eyeing that mold on eBay as well. Did you get it?
