The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
I came to rifle shooting with a serious flinch problem (blink and yank trigger) gained shooting heavy 12 gauge loads as a kid - hooning around in a ute (pickup) spotlight shooting roos in the early wheat crops .
I trained myself out of it by concentrating on keeping my eyes open - at night focus on seeing the scope crosshairs imprinted in the muzzleflash. Muzzleloader shooting I wanna see the front sight clear in the smoke cloud from the muzzle as it discharges - everytime I cant see that front sight clearly as the shot leaves = a miss - I am missing smaller than I used to its a long time since I lost a shot off the paper from flinching
The tendency to flinch is still there but I have it beat pretty much
