Ruger #1 in 30-06. It will probably never see a jacketed bullet from me. It came from my brother's family. So far it is performing much better with my cast boolit loads than it did for them with full charge jacketed.
I picked it up for a song.

Hopkins & Allen Double Action #6 in .38 s&w. Won it in an auction for next to nothing. Was advertised as a .32 S&W, so was a little surprised when it showed up and was a .38 s&w. New caliber for me, so now I'm working on acquiring a mold, sizer die, top punch, and dies so I can load for it. Ammo is a little more available than .32 s&w, but it's stupid expensive.
CPA , Paul Shuttleworth Silhouette Rifle.
Based on the Stevens 44 1/2 action with better metallurgy and springs plus being a bit thicker for use with bigger cartridges. (like 45-90) . Wearing the 22lr barrel. Also has a 38-55 barrel that I haven't shot yet. The scope is a MVA 8 power Malcolm . The group pictured is 14 shots at 100 yards with Lapua Super Long Range 22LR.20260307_141141.jpg20251108_124822(1).jpg
Been wanting a Winchester 63, 22 auto, for years. Haven’t found one for right price so just picked up a Taurus 63. I know, not a Winchester, but after taking it to the range, it’s a pretty nice little rifle. Feeds through the butt stock like a Browning SA22 auto loader. Couple hiccups to start, but then it smoothed out and fed like a champ. I bought this one for my son, so I can shoot it anytime. It’s a keeper.
TBG - Try it with 27 or 28gr of AA5744 under a 405gr cast LRN. It's a nice trap door load that won't break your shoulder. I have the same gun (non-Talo).
Oops - thought the picture would follow - reference post 2790.
Target Model of 1950? Only 5555 made from 1950 to the mid-60s.
How many screws? 5-screws ended about 1956. My dad's was a 3-screw. Try 6.5gr of Unique under a 240-250gr LSWC. Very, very accurate. I hit a bowling pin at 60 yards Sunday, seated, free holding the gun but resting my arms over the range bag. Only hit 1 of 6, but the other 5 just barely missed.
IMG_7895.jpg Something different in 243. Not a rifle but neither was the S&W, lol
Bought a Savage model 100, in 6.5 CM, 24" barrel. Hopefully to reach out to 5-600 with it w/o issues.
Used TC Hawken .45, I have several .45 minie molds and wonderedif the lightest bullet would shoot in a 1-48 twist. So far not really, although the rcbs 280 grain actually did a 6” group at 50 yards. The lighter 240 grain Challenger and 265 grain Lyman were more like 12” patterns.
Count them, 3 police trade in 870 12ga shotguns.
Im watching the DOJ law suits against both Denver and the state of Colorado over high capacity magazine's installed in a firearm making the firearm an assault weapon. Maby I'll be able to use mag extensions, on these shotguns.

M1917 with a heavy .300 H&H barrel and target stock.
It looked fun.
Just picked up my AR15 from my FFL today. First AR platform gun for me, so should be fun![]()
Currently casting: 32 s&w, 38 s&w, 9mm, 45ACP Currently loading: 32 ACP, 32 s&w, 38 s&w, 40 s&w, 9mm, 45 ACP, 270 Win, .223 rem
I added another Brazilian gun to my meager collection.
The Taurus G3C was on sale at Academy Sports so I couldn’t resist after examining it closely.
And it shoots good too!

I picked up a Beretta APX 9mm. My usual carry pistol is either a 1911 Govt model in .45ACP, a 1911 Govt model in 9mm, or a S&W 686 .357 Mag 4". All large and heavy. The APX is 20 ounces plus ammo.

My avatar is almost a dead ringer for my little buddy Chico. Six pounds of mean that thought he was a Pit Bull. Miss that little guy.
Had one in 40 S&W for almost a year now. Is very comfortable to shoot and quite accurate.

I didn’t need another 6” .357 but the price was very reasonable.
I shot a few loads through it and it’s very accurate with my wanna be match wadcutters.
Just won an Old Model .357 Blackhawk on GB, not converted. No box or papers and previously fired so I might send it in. Not sure yet.

A firearm with an empty chamber is an expensive, fancy paperweight.
