How heavy are you wanting to go? The Lee 356-147-TC looks like it would work, and has a short enough nose. Mine drops 'em right at .359 and 151-152 grains on average.

For the original poly style barrels in my gen. 4 19 and 26 I use aftermarket tubes.

Been shooting my G20, 4th Gen with either a Wolf or KKM ported (forgot which) with no bad effects with Underwood Hard cast 220. Just switched to HSM "Bear Loads" 200 gr hardcast.

The whole Glock cast boolit kaboom thing is a myth perpetrated by handloaders who are covering for their mistakes.

The most important thing to note about this phenomenon is that the vast majority of kabooms in Glocks have been .40S&W variants. And the simple fact is that caliber is less forgiving of loading mistakes than most other calibers. While it is possible to make an error in loading any cartridge in such a manner as to make it dangerous, it is simply easier to do so with calibers that are shorter and higher pressure, like the .40S&W.

I've been shooting cast projectiles in Glocks since 1990. Including .40S&W models. Most have been through 10mm G20s I've owned. My first G20 had over 90,000 rounds through it, with the majority being cast. And not just soft mid-range loads either. While I have occasionally loaded my ammo hot enough to produced bulged cases from the unsupported area near the feed ramp,...I've never blown a case.

In my opinion, these kabooms have all been loading errors.

I have abused the heck out of some of my Glocks, and they have never experienced any sort of catastrophic failures. I've worn out various parts, like recoil springs, guide rods and extractors. But that's it.

I have complete faith using cast boolits in Glocks, and you should too.

Today I put a very nice gen. 4 Glock 19 in layaway jail for 350 bux total. And by nice, I mean could pass for new old stock other than some little dings on the grip which I can fix. Not even any wear marks on the barrel from unlocking. Seems like even with all the belly aching about the new V series and gen. 6 Glocks going on, and also Sig P320 sales taking a total nosedive, I am seeing alot of nice gen. 4 and 5 Glocks for sale at somewhat deflated prices.

Finally bailed out the new to me Glock 19 and if this thing has had more than a couple boxes of shells through it I would be shocked. There aren't even any unlocking marks on the barrel and the trigger pull is still stiff and crunchy. I gave it some exercise at 15 yards before work today. With Federal 147 grain FMJ in the factory barrel it is slightly high and accurate enough to make me happy. With my usual 3.5 grains HP-38 under the Arsenal 130 grain LFP in the Storm Lake barrel, she is dead on and trying to put them in the same hole! What can I say, sometimes you get a royal flush on the first hand of cards!

I installed the Glock steel front sight and gen. 5 style rear to match my other 19's. That done, she shoots fantastic. Out of all my handguns, the 19 and 42 are the easy buttons!
