Eley primers are not active until you add a drop of water to them, when they are assembled. You then let them dry and use them. Other compounds arent eley but you should not make more than 30 grains at a time. 30 grains will make alot. Its time consuming at first but its not when you learn. Its like anything else in the casting/ reloading world, you learn and you get better. The only thing i would caution is to be clean...some components are nasty. At 35 per k i would buy them. But its a good skill to have in a shortage, at least for pistol stuff, bp and the sort...precision shooting i dont know..
