NOE retirement sale When will i learn

I purchased 2 molds at NOE recently. I was lured in by the cheap price. BIG MISTAKE. One is .005 too big and the other is .002 too small. Why didnt I listen to my self as I know wht happens when things are too cheap. I have about 20 molds from Accurate and they are truly perfect. The one I got that was bad they remade it for me. If they can make the design you want go there. Dont waste your money anywhere else. Along with the Lees these can go in the trash. When will I learn?

You got me, I can't even measure that close. I just cast them and shoot 'em. I must have 20 molds and can honestly say once I size the boolit it shoots as accurate as I can aim. I just can't seem to cast that accurate what with variations in temps, & alloy mix I just don't care enough to worry about 5/1000's over as cast.

I commend you on your attention to detail.

All you need is a set of micrometers. .005 is too much to size and .002 undersize you cant hit a bucket at 10 feet and they will lead like crazy. .002 under will coat the entire bullet with lube in the correct sizing die.

You could 'Beagle' the undersize mould. .002" wouldn't take much. The oversize mould? I'd size it minimally and see if it'll shoot in your firearm.
The issue I've had with Lee lately is, they cast out of round. No fixing that.

Have you called NOE? Even with the retirement sale, I have never had them not answer the phone. I can't guarantee they will give you the answer you want, but it doesn't hurt to try.

If NOE doesn't take care of you (I'm not sure if their refund policy would be different during the shutdown), tell us what you've got. Someone who PCs might want the undersized mold. The oversized one might be perfect for someone with oversized throats.
