Yes,,, they released some,, but apparently there was an issue with how the grip frames were being polished and not "uniform." It caused a lot of the grip panels to fit poorly. Enough so,, that they suspended production,, and the guru's that worked on the project,, (Jason at Lipsey's, Ronnie Well, and Bobby Tyler) have worked out the issues.
They offered a recall to anybody who had one to return it for a proper grip fitting. Many got returned & got new grips.
And I do believe they are planning on another release. Just not sure when.

That would be the cat's pajamas with a .45 acp cylinder.

That's a beautiful gun. If only Ruger would get rid of that minuscule ejector button.

Is that really the case - that they reached out to all those who had purchased JT revolvers calling them all back? My understanding was more along the lines of squeaky wheels getting greased.

All I know is that there was a lot of discussion on other forums & places,, and they put out the info that they would correct the problem. I don't remember seeing a formal "recall notice" from Ruger.
But they had the issue arise quickly, and immediately several people started contacting Ruger, & Lipsey's.

I followed the story all the way,, including several long written explanations by Ronnie Wells on the subject. And true to their word,, they corrected the ones that folks complained about.

Ronnie stated that he & Bobby took the (3) grip frames that Ruger had sent to Bobby,, and found that none of them were exactly alike. They then, using a computer,, designed a grip that was an "average" of those 3. They built grips using that pattern. Well, when the guns were being built,, the grips were installed w/o regards as to how they actually fit.

    This has been corrected.
