I saw a Taurus G2c, 40 S&W, used in the case at Cabellas, Now Bass Pro, For $170 and without having to reason it out and justify it to myself told the counter guy I would take it. Over the years, I already had acquired dies, brass , and an old mold I thought I could rehab enough to work. I had a G2c in 9mm and it was somewhat fussy with my ammo. There are boolits it would just gag on and I had to load special ammo just for it. This is not a problem with the 40. I only have one boolit and do not have to make ammo that works in any other gun so all my 40 ammo is for this gun and it all works every time. So, I gave the 9 to my daughter and she uses factory ammo on the rare occasions when she shoots it and it is reliable with that. And I have a gun that is reliable and pretty fun to shoot and is a heavy hitter I think. I still load 9mm for a S&W 915 and my High point 995 which eats anything I feed it. And My oldest grandson has a little Glock that he has come over to load some ammo for. It is a work in progress.
