Was at the range yesterday and a young man was shooting his 6.5 and gifted me five boxes of once fired ammo, two were Federal and three were S&B. When I checked the brass the FC were normal but at least one or more of the S&B out of each box were missing primers. Never saw this before and was surprised he did not realize something was wrong. When I got home wondered if the problem was an oversize primer pocket or undersized primer so tried to seat a primer and I could seat a primer by just putting it in with my fingers with little or no force. Did note that all the primers still in place were flat although there was no indication of marks on the base from from the extractor or tool marks from the bolt and the brass looked fine. Cannot believe a shooter, who runs a gunsmithing business, would not realize something was seriously wrong when primers fall out.
