    PC and compensators

Anyone running PC bullets thru a comp? Do you notice any PC residue in the comp?
    Thx

I ran a bit of PC through a 9mm comp, in addition to traditional cast bullets. There was a buildup of material on the front face of the comp that caused me to transition to plated and jacketed bullets for my compensated guns. It didn't cause any performance issues, it was just annoying to clean.

I have a Bisley 44mag that is Magna ported. Not a compensator I realize, but I shoot coated boolits into the 1200fps range with no sign of shedding the coating.

Between my few comps and my suppressor, I use plated or jacketed exclusively in my 9mm guns. I don't like dealing with multiple loads for the same cartridge - when I do that, it always seems like I run out of the right load at the wrong time.

I've ran comps on a couple on 357mag revolvers using hot loads/coated bullets without any issues. Same with a ported 357.
