Did some Duracoating on a build. Just about finished on a MPi-AKS-74NK. It test fired just fine so it's a matter of letting the Duracoat cure more then reassembly.

I love plinking steel. Fun stuff.

I just blasted a huge armadillo in the field. Probably 20lbs. First one with the .410 with 3-ball 000 buckshot in .444 Marlin cases. I nearly botched it. He was in the open and I put the laser on him, pulled the trigger "click" fumbled with the hammer block safety and 2 more clicks. He got under a big blue spruce near his burrow and I finally got the safety off--BOOM!, direct hit. As per the norm he flopped around and then right down the burrow!

I wanted to see what the 000 buck did on them but no such luck due to my comedy of errors.

I cooked some eggplant lasagna because my wife is diabetic and the pasta is a problem for her.
That is dinner for tomorrow and the other half is going in the freezer for another meal in the future!
Moved a scaffold in place for a long overdue home brew “gutter guard” before the leaves start falling!
Ground off the name that a guy had engraved on a S&W 29 that I am restoring, shortened the rear sight screw and checked the sight adjustment with a laser.
Then I shortened the rear sight screw on a S&W Model 28 and checked the sights with a laser!
    Busy day!

You better get started on that gutter guard these leaves or coming faster than normal this year

I just wacked a few bushes aka weeds and started repairs on my wheelchair trailer so not much to report today
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.

Fabbing a target stand for 50yds. It will be like my others with a cardboard backer covered by a trash bag. Duct tape target dots and white duct tape patches it. Waterproof and easily replaced backer when it gets shot out.

    Yum.

I got my stand done. All joints that were just the rebar joining rebar got a gusset to extend the joint 1" on either side of it. Wrapped the top corners with angle iron. Painted flat olive I had on the shelf. Gotta make the backer now.
