    I play:
    the GENOS keyboard/arranger by Yamaha
    B♭ clarinet
    Flute
    Trumpet
    Oboe
    Trombone
    French horn
    organ (with pedals!)
    piano
    6-string guitar
    the stereo
    the radio

Pretty much covers the instrument spectrum!

I have played bass for about 25 years. Some of that has translated to guitar as well. I can keep a tune but im not great on a 6 string. I stopped playing when married to my ex because she was so demeaning and rude about my playing that it demoralized me. Started playing again after marrying again and have tried to teach my kids to play as well.

    Thumbs up

Guitar, bass and piano since 1970. I was seven then, I learned to read music while playing a borrowed cornet back then in the first year at school. I still remember that song and how the notes just "clicked".

Classical guitar got pretty strong,I would have ended up as a guitar teacher in conservatory but I chose pop music, songwriting and freelance. Ended up writing music, touring with rock bands 80's & 90's. Touring was mostly party and fun, never a job for me. Studio and songwriting were the job. I moved back to the countryside with my studio, continued learning violin, drums, various percussion, accordion, mandolin, cavaquinho... the list goes on. I have played quite a few instruments on albums during the years. All my life was tied around music and the associated (not so pretty) business.

Now I have pretty much retired from all that. Creativity became a curse. I like my life without the continuous madness of new songs coming and myself being forced to record better and better demos of all that. Phone has stopped ringing, such a bless! I had no holidays for decades.

I rarely touch an instrument now. I use no TV or radio. No electricity at my Summer House. Freedom!

I spend my newly discovered free time with motorbikes, guns, bows, shooting, casting, reloading, hunting and eating ice cream.

Our deer season has started. Me yesterday:

I do not play a musical instrument. But on that note-pardon the pun-at a family gathering last night, Someone broke out a guitar. Another family member, not known for musical talent, asked: Want to hear me play "Jailbreak"? He took the guitar and rubbed his thumbnail back and forth on one of the steel wound strings. The whole family burst out laughing at the hacksaw sound.

I played the trombone when I was a bit younger then I tried the violin. The violin teacher dropped me and that was the end of my musical career. Now I’m limited to being able to sing the happy birthday song.

I attempted to play guitar for 5 years. Joined the local bluegrass jam once a week and practiced 2+ hours a day. I wasn't very musical and my shooting started to decline. My Martin D18VS had to go. Didn't lose any money and satisfied the itch. It did help me to tune a speaker crossover for my speaker builds.

Concert level pianist. Been playing for 52 years and love it. Having the right teacher makes all the difference in the word.

Played Trumpet from about third grade through seventh grad, then switched to the F horn and E flat horn through the first year of college. Haven't played the brass in many years but kinda been hankering to do it.

Right now, I'm working on Chopin's Scherzo in B Minor. Great piece of music. Really kicking my behind, though. LOL

Horns can lead to blood clots. The older we get the greater the danger.

Tried playing the Guitar, had a Nun in grade school. Figured out real fast I was not cut out for it.
Dad could play the piano, and organ by ear.
Sister went to Romanian, by invite of the government. I think it was the Floyd County youth symphony. She played the Violin.
Son was dang good on the trumpet.
If you want me to carry a note, put it in a 5 gallon bucket and put the lid on it, then I can "carry it!"
