    Rcbs 452-270-saa mold questions

I'm looking for measurements of this boolit. Anybody that has the mold or projectiles handy. I would like to know overall length, and base to crimp groove. No tape measures please, I need at least dial caliper accuracy.
    Thank you kindly!

One of my favorites. It’s a real stomper. Overall bullet length is .720, nose to crimp .375, base to crimp .345

Appreciate the specs! I didn't realize the nose was so long on that one. Does it actually have a "crimp groove" or do you crimp over the front band?
Obviously I don't have that mold, or I wouldn't be asking these questions, ha ha.

It’s got a real crimp groove. Large grease groove and a satisfactorily long front driving band. I should have measured the meplat. I’m going to guess .32 ish. Wide enough that I use a fwc bullet seating stem so as not to deform them. I largely prefer this design over the 452424

I really appreciate the info, Joe_7910! The shortest, long story is this...
I've been kicking around the idea of making nose pins for a lee mold, sort of like MP does. I want a 265-270 ish grain boolit with a hollow point. I think the Lee 452-300 RF is going to work. I drilled the nose on one to get the weight right, and now have the basic size of the hollow point pin figured out. Planning on boring out the gc shank, because a plain base will fit my needs better.
With the measurements from the rcbs 270, I can use that specific load data to extrapolate charges and seating depth for my HP boolit. With a little chrony work and adjustments to charge or oal, I should have a safe load to work with.
