That shouldn't be a problem for you with a 5.5" barrel.
7gr of longshot would probably do it.
I seated the lee 175 tc to 1.142 oal.
The longshot load had one high shot, could've been my Hornady powder dispenser drifting a bit, sometimes it becomes possessed by P.,O. Ackley, I usually catch it.
These were from a 4" barrel and the slide speed was pretty high. With the heavier g22 slide and 5.5" barrel I think you can get to 1200fps with 7gr of longshot and keep the slide speed reasonable.
These loads were safe in my pistol. Always work up slowly, I dunno what these loads will do in yours.
FYI, Lee Liquid Alox works great on conventional grease groove boolits and produces very little smoke. I dip each boolit shank in LLA and stand them up in a metal pan to dry overnight. It produces coverage similar to powder coating and the excess lube can be scraped up and added back to the bottle. This is how I do most of my rifle boolits.
