    Powder Coating Question

    Howdy All,

Who make the best powder coating powder??

I am planning on shooting some full bore slugs in my 410. I was reading that someone was powder coating them to eliminate any leading. Soooo was wondering what the opinions are here about that!

    Thanks in advance

    John

I can’t comment on any other powder but I’ve used Eastwood red and blue for years and have been really well. Tried their yellow and black and not so good so mixed them together and works great.

Overall, I've found powdercoating to be a 100% replacement for 99% of my loading needs. A lot of guys are even powdercoating buckshot. Give it a try.

Check with Smoke on here. He tests all powers before he ever offers them to us so you KNOW they will work.

I started out with Harbor Freight Red. I'm still using the first pound I bought. A little bit goes a long way. I do the shake and bake method and separate the boolits for baking.
I have no complaints with it. I have loaded my 30 cal. Boolits to over 2300fps with good accuracy and no leading. I plan on buying from Smokes when I finally run out of the Harbor Freight brand.

I've tried quite a few brands....The only powders I buy are TGIC base Polyester High Gloss. I've never had a bad one with this spec.
