Anti-seize on the sprue pivot and alignment pins, a quick dab and wife on the surface of the mold, blow out the mold with brake cleaner and use. Boolits drop free by themselves and the anti-seize lasts forever.

Use a hot plate to preheat the mould. Cuts down on the amount of rejects before you start getting useable boolits.

Can 10w40 be used? Why is only two stroke oil recommended?

Motor oil, like 10w40, starts to breakdown at 250ºF,
But Synth 2 stroke oil can handle temps up to 500ºF.
Typically a bullet mold has an operating temperature of 375 to 400ºF.
