    Delrin rod for Trapdoor Question

Can anyone tell me, would a 1/4” diameter delrin rod be flexible enough to run into the Trapdoor breech and out through the muzzle?

I would like to make a breech cleaning rod if possible. I cannot find any delrin rod locally; I will have to order it, and just wanted to check first to see if anyone has tried this.

    Thanks!

Use a fired case with the flash hole drilled out to slip fit on the rod. The case in the chamber will better keep the rod centered.

1/4" will be too flexible. Put any restriction on the business end and it will try to wad-up on you, and you will find yourself fighting the Beast. 5/16" would be minimum in my view.
Rights, and Privileges, are not synonymous. We have the Right to Bear Arms. As soon as the Government mandates firearm registration, and permiting, then that Right becomes a Privilege, and may be taken away at our Master's discretion.

I do like the idea for the rod guide to help prevent any wear. The rod would likely pick up and hold some abrasives that could scratch...

@steveu so it feeds in from the breech end and out through the muzzle?
