I have located a spent historic cartridge stamped with "REM UMC 25 30". I am unable to find anything on specifically "25 30". Is this a specialty cartridge? What is the history of this?

Cartridges of the World, 16th Edition does not list a .25-30. There is a listing for a .25-36 Marlin and a .25-303 but the .25-30 does not appear. I also looked it up in Cartridges of the World 3rd Edition, but no mention of a .25-30. Good luck on your search!
