I haven't used mine yet but a former member thought it was the best thing going for 300 BO.

I have always been under the impression that the RCBS 7.62-130-Spl was intended for the 7.62x39 cartridge, but because it casts at a .309" diameter it would probably be a poor choice for that. It would work for the 300 Blackout, but usually heavier bullets are used in that cartridge. Because it has a sharp nosed profile I would suspect that it might not be great as a hunting bullet. If the cartridge OAL isn't too long it might make a good heavy bullet for the 30 carbine, but I can't think of any application for it that other designs wouldn't do better.

That's the plan, just gotta get a roundtoit. Will take a little longer since my soon to be ex-wife got that rifle, but I still have all the brass!

Yeah, I imagine it was designed for 7.62x39 as 405grain pointed out. Probably for guys using the Ruger Mini-30. Poor choice for AKs and SKSs, as they generally are .310-.314 in bore from my experience (I usually size to .313 for my rifles).

That said, it should work for .300BLK if approached right. I would personally PC with a thicker coating, and size to .310 if I had a 300BLK rifle, and were using this mold. I've found the sweet spoke for .308 bore rifles to be .310, whether this is the same for you or not is up for you to discover.

30-06 for their speedster but you would have to do light loads

    I have 2 of those molds !
I have a 7.62x39 bolt action with a 308 bore and a 300 Blk bolt action that I intend to use that boolit in powder coated.
I also have a 1903A3 that I may use it in for light plinking loads.
I paid dearly for one that I plan to modify to fit my Master Caster!

Original use was supposed to be for the 30 carbine.
