Lee RD 95gr RF vs TL 95gr RF ???

What's the difference between these two Lee molds?
I know the TL is for tumble lube, but what makes
the RD any different if any? Thanks for any reply.

I think you're referring to the same mold...

So, the RD is a reference to RanchDog, the designer of the mold. All of his original molds were Tumble Lube designs. Lee's designation for the mold is TL356-95-RF. While most people simply refer to the design as the RD 95 RF, which is the RanchDog 95gr Round Flat.

Just a little more insight, Ranchdog designed a whole host of bullets that all share a common ogive and meplat formula. He scaled them up and down based on bore size and desired weight. They were originally designed for the unique throats of lever guns. But it became apparent that same design worked well in other firearms too. So he just kind of went to work making something for nearly everything....

Lots of people have taken his original designs and made their own versions of them. NOE has, I think MP has as well. Most of the original molds were done through Lee though. And the 95gr was so popular for .380acp that they keep it on the books.

Thank you so much Sir. That clears that up.
It makes all the sense now. I'm thinking of
buying that mold for my S&W BG 2.0
Trying to find some reviews to see if there's
any problems with it in that gun.

I have seen it used in .380, 9mm, and .38 Special with no problems.

I don't know about the 2.0 S&W, but I have used that bullet extensively in a number of pistols and heartily recommend it. 3.2 grains of HP38/WW231 and an oal of .920-.925 has worked for me in most of the guns I have tried it in. (The only 380 I have that doesn't like it is my Llama, which like Mikey, seems to hate everything but FMJ RN.) I have a bunch of 380's and carry a SIG 232, or a stainless S&W PPK most of the time these days.
