I purchased a new NOE double cavity mold to cast sabot slugs for my 410. It is brass and I have never had a brass mold! Anyone care to share their experience with NOE or brass molds. I have had steel and aluminum molds before but not brass.

The brass mold takes a little more heat to preheat it. I set my hotplate to 4 for a brass mold. With an aluminum mold, I usually go between 2-3.
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!
I like to heat mine up on a hot plate 3 times and let it completely cool down over three days. I like a little petina to build which is oxidation of the brass. It looses its shine but bullets drop better most of the time and no sticking of lead to the mold including cavities. I love my brass molds BTW.
