32 S&W Long/32-20 mould?

Any recommendations for a dual purpose mold for 32 S&W long and 32-20?

I was looking at the Lee 311-100-2R mold but read that it may be too long for 32-20 in a revolver.

I don’t know about the length issue but I am liking my MP molds 314-640 HP mold. I have this and an arsenal 98 grain Keith Bullet mold.

If the length is good the 640 style should feed slicker that snot through a lever gun.

Edit so far I have used the Keith in the S&W 31-1 in .32 S&W Long and in .32 H&R in my Ruger SP101 327.

I am not one of the many site experts on .32s, just a guy fumbling around and prospecting for the loads that make me smile.

Accurate 31-105T is my double-crimp-groove design for use in the .32 S&W Long, .32 H&R and .32-20.

It bears a strong resemblance to the factory lead bullets in those calibers. I use the rear crimp groove to increase powder capacity in .32 S&W Long and to reduce jump loading S&W Long brass for use in .32 H&R Mag and use the front crimp groove when loading in .32 H&R or .32-20 brass.

I load 2 grains of Bullseye in pre-WW2 .32 S&W Long revolvers, 2.5 grains as full charge in post WW2 revolvers, 3 grains in .32 H&R or when seated long in .32 S&W Long brass for use in H&R Mag and as safe load for pre-1918 .32-20s which are not heat treated. Load 3.5 grains of Bullseye as full charge .32-20 for Savage 23, Remington 25 later S&W and post-1920 Colt revolvers.

No experience with the .32-20, but the RCBS 32-098-SWC works very well in both the .32 S&W Long and the .32 H&R.

Dont waste your money and time. Go to Accurate and choose a design and diameter or one of your own design..

If you have to go with a lee, look at the 90 gr tumble lube and keep velocities under 760 fps.

Things never got really good with my Browning model 53 until I got the RCBS 32-98-SWC . It casts very slightly over .314" with is the throat and groove diameter of the rifle . It's my number one pick .

I have been loading my 32 H&R with boolits cast from a Saeco 325 mold, a 98 grain SWC design. This boolit design makes the tightest groups of all my 11 different .313 diameter designs. The second best mold for groups is an Ideal Tong tool branded 32 NP (New Police?) with a cast weight of 105 grains, also a RF nose profile. These molds come into the market only rarely but they please me every time I use them.
