Enbloc Clips for M1 Garand Available

I recently was reloading 30-06 brass I had collected over a few years, and wanted to load them into Enbloc Garand Clips; when I ran out from my personal stores - I started looking to buy some more but discovered they were practically impossible to locate at the time and were running as much as $10.00 each.

I received a notice from SARCO today that they had them back in stock after being out for some time. Thought I would share with others that they are available fromSARCO for $2.50 each currently.

I bought 10 at a gun show a few years ago for $2 EA and thought later I over paid. Now I feel better.

Wait until you see the price of the clips considered as "collectors" and "rare" .

I don't have an M1, but I think back with regret of all the enbloc clips we threw away after using the clipped 7.62 ammo in our M-14's.

Of course, back then surplus clips were readily available for 10-25 cents each. Not quite a dime a dozen, but still pretty cheap.

.........Buckshot here, Well, I currently have a few Garands and have had them for some time. Last time I shot any of them with cast lead was at the NCBS a couple years ago. They certainly respond better to cast lead then the M1-A's I have. Pretty sure the M1-A's are a bit more violent, or maybe 'Abrupt' would be a better term?. In any event the good ole Garand has pretty much filled the bill for cast in a semi auto rifle.

In any event the good ole Garand has pretty much filled the bill for cast in a semi auto rifle for me. So far as the enbloc clips are concerned, I have this failing that is, if I like something I like to have a lot of it. Magazines for the M1A are common and pleantiful but the Garand takes the 8 round clip and is the ONLY rifle that they are good for. As a consiquence I've always glommed onto them, (and the 5 round clips also) at about every opportunity.

I think you may be confusing stripper clips with the 8 round enblock clip which is used only in the M1 Garand. They are very different.

No idea on these but could they be 3d printed? Just curious.

I would say no, unless you can print spring steel.

I have been thinking about a Plastic "Springy" enbloc clip for the last 6 months - either injection minded or 3d printed. Not an area I know much about; so have not pursued it much.

A 3D printed enbloc just seems wrong - no PING when it's empty just a light plink when it hits the ground...

I picked a few enbloc's laying on the ground out in 29 Palms. I wish i had picked up more. They all worked good.
