I sent his cousin to join him. I shot him last Sunday evening just before dark. Same load as the other boar.

Congratulations! A 44 Mag lever gun and wild hogs is a combination that is sure to be fun. Part of me wishes we had them where I hunt but the farmer in me knows we really don't. Still it would add some variety to the big game hunting with something other than just deer in the woods.

Nice little boar. Dead is dead. Personally, I don’t mess with cleaning boars. Too many out there not to get a good young sow. But, like you, I enjoy thinning them out. I have taken good size boars with my 38-55 Win 94 Sporter or my 6.8 ARP. A lot of folks don’t realize that pork is pork and these feral beasts make good eating. WELL DONE.

Every time I read the title of this thread I think of an action film about a rescue mission.
Don't get angry when I post something you don't like 'cause I'm just some anonymous nobody connected by electrons. One click and I'm gone.

Congratulations on the bacon wgg. I agree, those little 1894 Marlins are great but, I lost mine several years back when I let my oldest grandson use it for his first deer hunt while carrying a rifle. He killed a nice 6 point and I gave him the carbine.
