    30-40 Krag to 303 British

This is very simply done, run the Krag brass through the 303 British FL die and trim to 303 length.
The Krag brass fire forms nicely and seems to last for more firings than regular brit brass

There is quite a bit of information on this, .30-40 to .303, and .303 to .30-40 in the Forum's archives. It's good to know for those of us that have rifles in both calibers, but .30-40 brass is often hard to come by.

Ken Waters said 30-40 made really good 303 brass. A little larger case helped in sloppy 303 chambers.

i think Grafs and Remington are about the only ones who make the 30-40 Krag and that is "seasonal", which means 4 or 5 years.

I’ve got 40 rounds of 303 factory loads I was going to make 410 brass out of. My 410 wouldn’t close on it though.

Got some new 30-40 brass. Not sure what to do with it. Are the rim thicknesses the same?

LEAVE IT 30-40. Used .303 brass is an easy find. KRAG BRASS IS NOT.

The 30-40 brass in my possession will not be harmed. Although it’s now claimed.

Are the rim thicknesses the same for future reference?
