After looking at load data for awhile I'm gonna try 4gr of MP-254 under a 180gr plated HP tomorrow. See if they will work in my Dagger.

Got to thinking about how much gas this powder generates and loaded 1 round at 3.5gr. Went out and popped it off and it chroned at 700fps. Primer looked good, no signs of pressure, case very clean. 1.135" OAL. They are as long as a 9mm case lol.

    So:
    LOS 180gr .357" plated HP
    3.5gr MP-254
    1.135"
    700fps

I have 12 loaded up to test accuracy in a minute.

I guess it is. I ended up with 1000 of these bullets. I found a load that would cycle and not be overpressure with 3.0gr of W572. I actually bought the MP-254 to do this with it. Only thing they will chamber in is my Lone Wolf barrel which has a really long throat.

Just so y'all know this: My barrel is a heat treated Alpha Wolf barrel with full chamber support suited for 9mm major loads. If you could get this load to chamber in a regular Glock barrel with unsupported chamber it would probably burst the brass.

Well, after messing around with this today I have to say MP-254 is amazing...ly....bad for 9mm. At least for these bullets. Extremely frustrating too because it has the oats to push a 180gr bullet to 915fps with little to no pressure signs.

The starting load was 3.5gr. It would not cycle my pistol but the LW barrel needs pretty hot loads to cycle it because it hangs out 1.25" past the slide and the suppressor weight puts downward pressure on the slide making it only cycle with hotter loads. At 3.5gr accuracy was non-existant---14" at 25yds. Bumped up to 4.0gr and got cycling---no accuracy again.

    4.5gr, 915FPS!!!!

Zero accuracy, literally holes from the top to bottom of the target backer which is 24+".

Case head expansion was .390" on the biggest case down to .388" which is mild in that barrel. Some of my 9 major loads have gone to .391" and I back them off. Primers with nice and rounded edges. Just shows you that reading primers is not an accurate way to read pressure.

Just to make sure either me or the gun was not "off" I loaded 4 Lee 158-358-RF TiteWad loads that it really likes. Got the 25yd group below.

Frustrating dudes, this powder has gigantic cajones but it is inaccurate as heck in small cases.

OK, shifted gears to see if I could make a regular ol 9mm load out of it. Switched to my regular 4.5" barrel.
    5.0gr MP-254
    X-Treme 125gr .357" plated FP
    1.060"

My chrono is acting weird with it's connectiion to my tablet so I only got 7/9 shots recorded

    25yds:
Hey where the heck are my shots?

There they are, top right corner of the target stand. 2" group

Thoughts: It is very LOUD through the suppressor. Very sooty brass. Accuracy acceptable, maybe even could be good with development. I thought about bumping velocity up to clean it up but did I mention it is LOUD? Huh? Rang my ears with the suppressor on. Lots of gas even loaded subsonic, it acted/sounded like a +P+/9 major load.

You ain't kidding about the noise! In the 12 GA side, I just chronoed 35 grains in some 2 1/4" shorty shells with a 1oz Lee slug at 1250 fps. And 35 grains under the 525 Full Bore slug also did about 1250 fps.

But boy does it roar like a 3 1/2" super mag and spit fire like the dickens.
