So was at the store the other day looking at all the powders and I started to think, just about non of these are MADE for cast bullets. Yeah plenty work and are favorites( dont help most of those cost an arm and a dang leg now days )but few are made with cast in mind
So I'm curious, say a company came out and said they wanted to make , say 2-4 powders made SPECIFICALLY for cast . Brand new from the ground up formulated ect What would make ideal powders for us ?
What I'm thinking would be to have two for pistol, one small case one large. And the same for rifle. Now I'm not a pistol guy so can't talk on that. But for rifles mabye something bulky to take up a good bit of case volume...and possibly a slower but still highish burn rate ? At the very least I think a faster burning longer extruded powder would be a good start maybe
And now that I think of it casting for semi autos AR's and the like is becoming pretty popular (least in my age group) mabye some special for that ?
What do y'all think about this?
