Question Lyman 310 38-55, .380 bullets and starline brass?

Would I be able to use .380 bullets in a lyman 310 tool? I know if I was to use this I would need starline brass short or long, since the necks are thinner for chambering. The 310 sheet say .379 expansion die, but I have read people using a .379 expansion die with bigger bullets for more neck tension. Though it may buckle the case.
Another question is will 30-30 cases blown out and used with a .380 bullet chamber?
As well if the 30-30 cases were shortened to 1.79"?Thinking about cutting back cases to be legal on public land and didn't want to use nice brass.
    Thank you

Unfortunately, even modern 38-55 bores run a gamut of oversizes, but if you know you need a .380 bullet, and if your 310 dies came with a 379 expander plug, neither of which is guaranteed, you should be fine.
