Swaging with a "long A" or a "short A"?
A vote for anyone other then the conservative candidates is a vote for the liberal candidates.
Long "a" in my experience and according to Webster:

I asked because I hear so many people pronounce it "Swagg" with a short "A". To me, swagg is a lamp from the 1960's.

We always called "SWAG" a simple wild (synonym for derriere) guess.
You say swage like you would with the words:Page, age, sage, mage, cage, rage, stage. Not like the words: wedge, edge, badge, lag, bag, tag, stag, hag, gag, rag.
