I have a new Ruger made one. It is 1 in 20" and it has conventional rifling. It will feed 429421s properly crimped in the crimp groove so I use that bullet with 12.0 grains of HS-6 (this is the same load my 29-2 uses). My groove diameter was .4296" and I just size my bullets .431". It shoots great!
Going to follow this one. I'm chasing accuracy with lead and jacketed loads. Using 240 gr Hornady XTP's so far there is possibility with 18 gr of AA9, still need to see what Lil Gun, IMR 4227, and H110 do for me. Not real impressed with what I'm getting so far. I think I need to figure out how to slug my barrel so i can throw that into the data.
I have some 300 grain bullets that I am going to try. I have already tried some Keith style lead bullet with a gas check and I believe I was using 4227 and 2400 they were cast at 16 to one and I got quite a bit of lead shavings.
