I tried to kill a couple of pecan trees with a similar poison 'triclopyr/picloram' with cuts and direct application .......the trees recovered ,and are still feeding the rats ......So ,Id think if you didnt go crazy on the application ,there would be no adverse result............I did accidentally kill a big eucalypt with a combination of sprays ,and I notice the Tordon type poisons do have a residual effect claimed .
I timber company that I retired from used Tordon.
I have seen it effect nearby trees/shrubs.
i would use caution.
Anything better for cactus than Tordon?
