AR COMP powder...what gives w/ the high price

as stated in the title, what gives?
imo, i dont believe the supply/demand excuse.
i think that the powder is so good, that it is wanted so much the manufacturer
has decided we will jack the price to make more profit.

i dont believe that this powder cant be produced as fast as the others.
i just think they want to make a bigger profit on a real good powder that the re-loaders want.

    what say you?

There is a worldwide shortage of nitrocellulose; China used to provide around 35% of the nitrocellulose used in the US powder industry. Guess who just stopped selling it to the US or NATO member countries? Alliant has subsequently ceased production of canister powders (for reloaders) for the immediate future. Hold onto your wallet.

Hard to claim corporate greed when the manufacture can't get enough materials to produce powder for the highest profit margin consumers like reloaders. How much profit do you have to make per item to stay in business when you have zero items to sell?????

I will agree that AR Comp at CAL was almost $500 for an 8 pound jug last time I was in there, but TAC was still going for $35 a pound, so I bought that instead.
