Duro-Felt still in business? Felt sheet source?

I was hoping to get some felt sheets to make a variety of over powder wads and found that there don't seem to be any Duro-Felt products available for ordering from Amazon or other vendors and the Duro-Felt company website is down and all the links broken. Does anyone know if they are still in business or not? I guess it was a small company and things can happen quickly but they seemed to be highly recommended and good to work with.

Sad to hear. I ordered from them last year but the link I had bookmarked seems vacant.

Go to granger type hard felt sheets, $13.54 for 12x12 sheet. I have not found any place much cheaper than this for 100% wool. Maybe others can do better.

I use to buy old used Cheap felt cowboy hats at yard sales and swap meets.
I would cut them up and make over powder and shot wads out of them.
I could find cheap hats for around a few bucks.
That was back when I was dirt poor.
But that felt worked very good.
    Plus,
I would cut up black hats in one caliber.
And cut a brown hat into a different caliber.
That made keeping track of what I was loading was correct.
    Just a suggestion guys

WOW, how sad. I have ordered felt from them for years to get felt for wads.

I used to buy 1/8" thick scrap pieces from a different wool felt company like Durofelt. I eventually got tired of punching them out on my drill press so I've since gone to Track of the Wolf and by Circle Fly fiber filler wads in whatever caliber. For the 44 C&Bs I buy 45 cal 1/2" thick fiber wads 500 to a bag. I lube them and split them into two or 3 thinner wads. I buy two bags per order because some of the wads go into 45/70s. I haven't done the math lately but IIRC the fiber lube wads were about 1/5 the cost of Wonder Wads.

I ran Wool felt and a couple of places came up. Looks like you may have to order larger quantities. You can always check JoAnns and Hobby Lobby.

I bought from them last year. Their website looked like old Windows 98 format or like Craigslist was. They might just be down for a new update. Their number is (501) 225-2838. I tried it and it went to VM.

the really great thing about real felt is that it doeas not burn when fired. I pick them up off the ground and repurpose them. waste not want not.

I just call them. If you don't get an answer, leave a message. At least in my experience they are good at calling back. This last order was shipped fast. I got it end of last week

+1 on Joann's fabric / hobby shop, wool felt by the yard.

Also try the beauty supply store for "end wraps", like cigarette papers, used for hair perms
    and BP paper cartridges.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caussed while our site was not working. Hosting company based in Florida shut down without warning. We worked with Godaddy and our site is now up and running. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
