Good to hear, shot IHMSA 4 decades back. Was an enjoyable experience.

Keep posting updates and a summary on the event if you can, I'm sure others would like to hear about it.

Greg, I'm glad you are getting good numbers registered. I wish you success for this match and wish I could be there too.

Update! 370 plus entries. 14 states. As far away as Oregon. Going to be a good one. Any members here from the central Ky. area should come by and check it out. Ask for me and I'll give you the best tour I can. You won't be disappointed.

I shot IHMSA for 22 years and have never met a nicer bunch of people from all over the country
and the world back when the internationals brought shooters from a lot of different countries.
I was the Pa. state director for a couple of years and enjoyed that too.
I still have all my silhouette guns, but haven't shot them in years. The matches in Pa. dried up
years ago. I still miss it.

Update 380 entries not counting 500 or air. 52 shooters from 14 states and a shooter from Saskatchewan Canada. With the rumor of 2 more states. That means more shooters and more entries.

It went great. About 410 entries total. Shooters from Texas, Utah, Wyoming, Oregon, New York, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia Saskatchewan Canada Pennsylvania and Kentucky. We shot everything IHMSA has available. Air pistols at 18 yards to big bore guns at 500 yards and everything in between.

Everyone can be a part of it. Full report on the ihmsa forum.

Partisipated back in the 80’s at internationals in Oak Ridge Tennessee, what an experience, won 8th place with production revolver, missed a chicken and a turkey for a score of 78 of possible 80.

Not between relays. During the shooting. I started each day at 6:00am and finished at 6:00pm. I spent nine days keeping things moving.

the Match Director's job is like that sometimes.

I didn't participate but thank you for the hard work and for keeping IHMSA silly-wets alive.

    Nice reporting!
I shot IHMSA many years ago and was match director for a few years in Williamsport, PA. We shot all over the state with the problem being date conflicts and so one month you would shoot one schedule and the next pick all the opposing dates. As already stated great people, great competition against yourself and others, developed good handloading skills and you really had to understand your guns and sights.
We took a family vacation to Tennessee in 1989 and I shot the Internationals in Oak Ridge. I believe it was the first year they had cast bullet categories and I did well. We really enjoyed the area and 4 years later moved to a small town just east of Knoxville. Best thing I ever did for my family and myself.
Anyway took a couple years to get rolling again with a new house, settling in and setting up handloading again. I joined the club where the Internationals had been held but to my amazement in those few years the sport had all but disappeared. I don't know the details but there had been some kind of shakeup through the IHMSA organization with a portion of it having something to do with the Oak Ridge range...
I have an XP, Exemplar and two Contenders that don't remember what daylight looks like. I think the closest event range is like 6-8 hours one way from home and that's just too far for me alone at 73. It's sad because I greatly enjoyed shooting IHMSA and the other shooters. Many shooting sports claim to be family friendly but IHMSA truly was in those days.

Apologies for being so long winded and thanks for reading along.
