Hey guys,
I just aquired a 4# jug of this powder and can't seem to
find any loading info on it. I take the N3SL would mean
slow lot? I was thinking of using it in .45 ACP.
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks,
Denny

Treat it like Herco at first. So, to be on the low side, shoot one round out the back door, 200 grainer, 5 grains. ... felix

NO!!!!!!
N3SL is a Bullseye or Reddot equivelent powder - not a slow one. Start with BE Starting loads and work up. When Kaltron was selling it they placed it between N310 and N320 in burn rate.

Found 2 pounds on a shelf all dusty, LGS owner said " I wish I would have known that was pistol powder"
Was just looking around the site and came across the questions about Vhit N3SL and N3SM and N3SH. If you did not find information, I have 5th and 6th editions of Vhit's loading data for shotshells. I will be happy to copy and send.
Bumping an old thread to see if anyone has N3SL data for 200 and/or 230 grain cast bullets in 45 Auto. Thank you!

N3SL = N318 . If you can't find N318 load data just back off N320 and start from there. Or call Vihtavuori for help. I shoot N310. It's max load is below start load for N320.
I did call Viht. The fellow I spoke with said he had some old load data in a .pdf format that he'd email me. Funny thing is the data he sent does not contain anything for SL.
I will probably just work something up using 310 data as you suggest. But I was hoping to save myself a few primers by asking if anyone has any data.

I have one VihtaVuori manual that has some data for cowboy action loads, My manual lists it as 3NSL?? The manual is 1-98 Rifles and handguns.
Give me something to believe in. Poison
