Food is overrated. A nice rifle is way more important.

I got mine on amazon. The house was built around 1975 and I got a perfect replacement.

Rich or poor, it's good to have money.
I'm guessing that is the same model fan that was in the house I grew up in. If it is, the motor is about $80 on amazon. Likely more from other dealers. If it is the same fan, it's round and I don't know of another fan that will fit in the same hole as the old one, meaning you will have to cut a new hole and repair/paint drywall to replace the whole fan.
If you enjoy fixing things pull the motor apart and see if you can find the problem. I doubt that small of a motor has a thermal fuse, might be a loose/broken wire. I think you would have smelled a burned motor, unless the noises (and other related things) you mentioned in another post were masking the smell.
Nutone motors are famous for weak magnets. When i built the house in 1980 Nutone was top of the line around here.
I would buy a new one that is noisy—that way my noises are covered up, and it is not left on.
I had to replace a round bathroom exhaust vent for a friend’s mom.
All I could find was square replacements.
I got a piece of 1/4” aluminum plate big enough to cover the hole and cut a square hole to fit the new vent and it looked good and worked well!
For those of you using the in-attic inline fans do you feel safe with a Chinese motor attached to your roof frame up where you cannot see it? If those motors short internally are they protected with a thermal breaker? Not likely. They will just go up in flames.
The Chinese are quite capable of building very high quality equipment but be assured it is not coming here since we want the cheapest stuff available.
So it got here, but is not the same.
No mounting studs on the correct side.
Should never believe "granger".
Not the first time they have got it wrong.
I'll have to make somekind of bracket to mount it to the housing.
Kind of getting use to the quiet.
I hate those fans , I'd just let it be dead.
Grumpy Old Man With A Gun....... Do Not Touch !!
Got it done today.
Working just like the old one.
These fans are kind of expensive.
Saved on just changing the motor.
