Does anyone make an off the shelf PID that I can just plug in my pot and thermocouple and be up and running?
The temp control on my Lee pot went belly up and instead of repairing it I want a PID but I don't want to build one. I would like one that plugs into the wall, has a place to plug in my pot and a jack for my thermocouple. It should have a temp display preferably it would display temperature and set point with an adjustment for the set point.
I removed the thermostat on the pot and just wired it directly, it melts lead but has no temp control. I would be happy if the unit is capable of much more power than the Lee pot will draw as I have visions of other applications for the PID, also why I don't want the thermocouple being hardwired.
If there is no off the shelf item would someone build one for me?
