Just saw this. Looks like a great idea.
I ordered one to drill out for 308 cases. Not sure if it'll work or I'll just ruin it.

My 358 Razorback.
Chop the neck off at the neck shoulder junction lube it up and stuff it into a 358 win sizer... I have a thread with pics and stuff...
the saw works just fine but if the length of case is important you will want to run them through a real brass trimmer for final pass.
if you are ever being chased by a taxidermist, don't play dead
I was surprised at how nice the little Harbor Freight saw cuts.
I chop my brass , then run it through the dies, trim with Lyman power trimmer, then on to the Hornady neck turning station.
I'll be using a brass catcher for these cases for sure. Except for when I'm hunting.
I use Squirrledaddy's chop saw jig for cutting 223 brass for 300blk. It's a quality product.

That jig looks like a pain to use, unless I’m missing something. I modify .223 to .300 Blk for my son. The jig that I use, with the HF saw, you just lay the cartridge in, with case against the stop, boom, cut, next. I would hate to have to fish each case into your jig, cut, then try to pull it out…
Just because it’s a bad idea…
…. Doesn’t mean it won’t be a good time !
You push the case out with the next case to cut. Not my preference, but the system is very popular.

As an FYI on the HF saw. Once in awhile you may need to tighten the drive wheel for the belt. When it gets loose, the blade speed drops and it acts like the blade is dull. A small Allen screw to tighten up makes it good as new. Easy fix.
Excellent, thanks for the tip. I haven't dug that far into my HF saw yet.
