I found about 20 or so of 32-20 brass. Can these be used to make .308 jackets?

I don't know if they would work for 308 jackets but it would be a shame to use them for that. 32/20 is really hard to find right now.I was lucky and a member sold me 50 virgin starline brass for a revolver I recently bought. Been looking for more ever since.
I'm betting that you could trade that for your choice of factory bullets!

As scarce as 32-20 are now I would think that's a bad source of bullet jackets because once you shoot those 20 swaged bullets, you may not get any more 32-20 brass to make bullets like them for who knows how long? I'm sure a lot of guys would love to buy/trade for them.
If you decide to get rid of them S&S for sale or trades PIF or Helping Hands to give away. Just a reminder.

Once-fired .32-20 brass sell these days for $1 each, shipped.

Keep it to yourself.
I think Paco Kelly wrote somewhere that he had used .30 Carbine cases to make jackets for a .30 caliber rifle when he ran out of hunting bullets overseas somewhere. They would probably be no more effort than .32-20 shells to anneal, size down, fill with lead and swage. Plus no rim to have to deal with, and they can still be found occasionally as range pickups. I think I’ve found one lost Starline .32-20 shell at the range in a dozen years or so.
You’d probably be able to trade those 20 .32 WCF shells for a Priority Mail box full of .30 Carbine empties,if you can find somebody desperate enough.
5.7X28 is about the closest diameter for .308” boolets and is pretty plentiful.
Most anybody would trade you those 32-20 cases for whatever 30cal bullet you would want.
If you were local, I sure would! Shipping costs these days sort of kills small deals like this
Where would that be? Both the sources you mentioned have zero stock.

Grumpy Old Man With A Gun....... Do Not Touch !!
I got to say , no , it won't work. Not because the brass is hard to come by but because the case size is nowhere near what you could use for .30 caliber jackets.

I placed an order on Nov. 9th.with track of the wolf for 200 cases and brass shipped the same day. Total cost with shipping was $79. Stuck me with a $21 shipping fee for living in alasksliving in Alaska. Over on the levergun forum some bought as much as 2k cases for the same price. You snooze you loose.
