Old retired guy in Baton Rouge La.
Lit the burner to process some wheel weights, COMPLETELY forgetting the statewide burn ban in Louisiana!!! Turned it off. Sorry, gentleman, I forgot. ( After a 30k acre fire here in SW Louisiana, they ARE NOT PLAYING about open flames!)
I’ll just go load some more 45’s I guess.
Hopefully it’ll rain sometimes later this week,
I firmly believe that you should only get treated by how you act, not by who or what you are!!
my new NOE 310-165-FN came in the mail friday. tonight ( sunday night monday morning) is my last night off. so i i’ve spent the night re-loading some 130 grain 30-30 and casting with the new mold for my 30-06.
three cavities and i can crank out some bullets lickity-split. I had 80 bullets done before i knew it. kinda crazy 3 cavities is only $10-12 more than 2 cavity mold. hopefully by my next night off ( wednesday night). i’ll have them sized, lubed, and ready to load for the 760.

Loaded some 30 Remington for my Remington model 14.
If you are going to make a hole in something. MAKE IT A BIG ONE!
Brass processing for the last week or so. 1000 223 sized, trimmed, deburred and chamfered. Same for 200 each of 30 30 and 270 win. Loaded all the 30 30 with 6.5 grains of Red Dot and a 165 grain hollowpoint sized 310 for the Win 94. Put away the new Lee Univeral Expander and 1000 CCI SPP. Loading 270 tmro after I mow the lawn.
Sized about 100 .45 Lee TC 230gr. Wondered why it took so much muscle to get some of them to go thru the sizer. Redding-Seaco with a .452 sizing die. Got the mics out, and found out they were coming out at .4505-.451. Unsized they were between .453 and .455. Lee 6 cavity mold. Will call Redding and see what they say.
Rasping and sanding on a stock and sweating buckets.
Perhaps I’ll tell my grandson someday about the gun I built during the bad summer of 2023!

Finished tumbling the last batch of 30 cal 168gr made from 5.7 brass.
Cast and started powder coating 330-RCBS .358-150 grain Keith swc boolets. The first 80+ were about 35 to 1, the last 250 are 1.5% tin, 1% antimony, and 97.5 % lead. I have settled on the later as my plinking boolet alloy. Will keep my revolver busy for a while. hc18flyer
Still PC Boolits I cast this past month. Need 1500 rds but going to lube about a third. Recoated about 300 MP 160 hp. 160.0 to 160.4 gr. Never going to use black again. Too many other colors that are great one coasters.
loaded up 38 .450 bush master rounds with hornady 250gr FTX bullets and 35.4 grains of lil gun. i went to the range a couple days ago and was shooting 3-4 inches high and right. I haven’t shot my .450 since shooting a doe last November. so I don’t know why it was off from zero unless it was bumped in the safe. i made adjustments to the scope but, poi didn’t want to respond.
it was hot, muggy, rainy and the mosquito were horrible at the range. so i’m hoping that was something to do with it. Tuesday it should be cooler, dryer, and i’ll be more prepared for the mosquitoes.
we have had so much rain since july 1st. had almost zero mosquitos all year except the last couple weeks. no they are so thick if you don’t watch it they will carry you away.

Michigan Mosquitos. One thing I don't miss. (Retired to SE Ohio 2009.)

Saginaw takes a couple of hundred from our taxes every year for mosquito control. This year for the first time since we have been here we have mosquitoes biting us. I guess it is a good year for them.
