I am 37 and started when I was 7. Dad showed me how to pour after he noticed I was memorized by him doing it. Once he was comfortable with me on my own, he'd watch tv and I would cast bullets for his 1884 .45-70 trapdoor springfield.

Kinetic energy generates the velocity with which the bullet exits the barrel, While the ballistic coefficient and sectional density determines the damage to its targets. Guns don't kill people, physics does!

I'm 62 and started back in 2010 but had a 10 year hiatus.
I started in 1983 when I was 25, shortly after getting into reloading.
My mentor got into casting and I followed his lead!
I bought a Master Caster not much later, around 1986 I got into commercial bullet casting and 12 years later when Clinton killed the gun business, I got back into hand casting and I am still at it!
I will soon be 68!
I got started later in life but have been enjoying it the last 3 years. My latest brain fart has been how to source local ranges for bullet scrap in the berms. Trying to figure out a way to convince them to let me mine the berms without disturbing them too much. Hand sifter and small shovel, drop dirt right back where I scooped it from to not change the land scape?
I am 62 1/2.

I am 51 now, I use to cast in my mid to late 20's but I dont now, just to busy. However, I do buy mostly powder coated bullets to reload with. I get a few JHP for the 9mm carry gun.
Turned 71 today. Am hoping to make it to 80.................or at least to outlive my dad who is 98 and still lives at home in Texas..........
I don't remember exactly when, but it was about 2 weeks after I started reloading. 80 yrs. young now.

One weekend in the 80's my girls were in junior high and there girl scout trip was a bust so most or all of them stayed the weekend in that time they casted just over 5000 rounds .
I am 78, and have been reloading since 1977, I still love it. 80% of my reloading is with cast boolits that are powder coated.
