MML is my go-to hunting lube as I find it works well from a cold barrel in our northwoods.
Two questions.
I have looked but there seem to be so many choices in DIY lubes, and I'm a bit at sea. Right now, upper 80's to low-90's and I'm doing load development on a few of my and my son's rifles. Only the 45-70 uses cast and I'm not sure the existing MML is doing OK in this heat. I have an old note on using Ben's red for spring and summer, MML for fall and winter shooting. Good choice?
Secondly, how do you guys switch out lubes from one lubrizer?
Edit: Just discovered Johnson Paste Wax seems to have been discontinued. Is Minwax a suitable substitute?
