I got lucky, my $10 ARC thrift store toaster oven dial reads correct temp according
to my lead thermometer (at 400°). I've been baking boolits around 300° and 12 min.,
they turn out great. See Elvis Ammo on yootoob, he experimented with lower temps
down to 250 I think, and short times.
Yeah, and the 'Elvis' bullets frequently lead barrels.
Bake them at mfg recommended levels and times. Otherwise you are tempting disaster. Yes, I know many get away with it for a time but just beware.
After all there really is not a good reason to bake at a lower temp or shorter time.
Well mine don't lead at all, but do as you like.
I use the Breville BOV800XL Smart Oven Convection Toaster Oven. The temperature is very accurate and the timer is perfect for PC'ing, a little pricey but it has been PC'ing boolits now for about 5 years without a hitch. I would guestimate I have pc'ed approx 150k boolits with it.
Picked this one up on a great sale.
Should be large enough to cover my needs.
In God We Trust
That'll do!! Now go have fun.
